Questions about this service
Why hire a professional for something I could install myself?
Installing it yourself is absolutely possible — Home Assistant is open and well documented. The difference is what happens afterwards: wired, stable hardware, a well-planned Zigbee network, backups, calm updates and documentation that keeps the system transferable. That is exactly what decides whether automation lasts for years or stays a weekend project.
Does Home Assistant work without internet?
The core runs locally: switches, automations and dashboards keep working inside the home without internet. Cloud integrations (such as voice assistants) and remote access do of course require internet — we make that distinction explicit up front.
Can my existing smart devices join the system?
Often yes, but not always: it depends on brand and protocol. During the intake we look honestly at what integrates, what works with limits and what is better replaced — before anything is bought.
